Baguio was first called KAFAGWAY, it means rono or grassy clearings. It was first mentioned by the Spaniard Quirante’s report on the district of Antamok in 1624. During those early times. Kafagway was inhabited by the Benguet Ibalois.

Baguio City – Mayor Reinaldo Bautista Jr. issued Administrative Order 137 creating an executive committee to spearhead the preparations of the year-end activities in the City of Baguio.

The committee will be chaired by Mayor Bautista himself together with Rep. Mauricio Domogan as honorary chair. Active Vice Mayor  Mayor Leandro Yangot Jr. as vice chair, with other active officials heading specialized events to ensure success of the coming activities with proper planning and implementation.

Few of these events includes The Centenial launching,  Silahis ng Pasko, Diwa ng Pasko, Christmas lights competition, Baguio Christmas tourism and cultural activities, Baguio Yuletide film festival, City Hall Christmas party and others…

There are few reasons why i should put this blog up live now. First, I want mybaguio.com project to be started to start serving it’s purpose. Secondly, to join the isulong seoph seo contest, not particularly to win, but to get acquinted and learn more from the contest. and lastly, try to earn some from these sleeping domain i have.

Everything has to start on a first post! and here it comes… myBaguio should define a project a long to develop years ago when i was still in college. IT should contain most important information, resources and several other tools that maybe or possibly useful to my readers.

This blog would be a place to discuss or should i say to tell the world what is happening, or what will happen to myBaguio.com!

There is a long road we need to pass across to success. I hope you all stay with me as we journey to this project.
